INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER (ISP) ULTRAFAST BROADBAND SERVICES ON OFFER
Delivered over FTTP (Ultrafast/Full Fibre Broadband) also known as Ultrafast/Full Fibre Broadband.
Information gathered as at 21/2/2022 from the internet, call handlers and ISP management sources of some better-known ISPs. The information should not be taken to recommend any ISP. The Horsley Ultrafast Broadband Task Group and the Parish Councils do not accept any liability for decisions made based on this information. Please check for yourself before making commitments.
Note: the only sizable ISPs known to the Task Group offering an FTTP broadband service to the Horsley exchange at the time of writing are BT, EE, Sky, TalkTalk, Vodafone, Zen and (reported by a user) Utility Warehouse.
We have been unable to obtain plans for FTTP services from Plusnet.

Key information for table above:
Current phones – most people have handsets that connect to a base station. Some have desktop wired phones.
VoIP = Voice over Internet Protocol, also called “Digital Voice”, “DV”, “Internet Calling” and “Broadband Voice” among other terms by ISPs. VoIP is digitised phone calling over the internet instead of electrical signals over wires used by our existing phones. VoIP calls are capable of better-quality calls and more call options. There are separate VoIP phone service providers.
VoIP Phones – Home VoIP phones are mostly handsets that connect to a base station. To buy search under VoIP DECT base stations and phone handsets. Wired desktop VoIP phones are also available.
Router/Hub – BT, Sky, TalkTalk, Vodafone & Zen normally supply an FTTP ready router/hub which has at least one socket to plug in most current phones or a desktop phone. You may need a simple readily available BT631A socket to RJ11 plug adapter for some routers. Ask your ISP if your router comes with everything you need if you want to connect your phone(s).

It is NOT a comprehensive list and it includes a number of less well-known names. Not all will serve this area. You MAY find that some of these providers offer Ultrafast Broadband only without a phone service and/or without a router/hub and/or are unable to accept a transfer of phone number. VoIP phone services are available separately from many VoIP service providers.
