Can We Help?

The Parish Council is aware of the need for services in the village to assist with daily life, if you would like to volunteer or to partake of the assistance offered please call the contacts below.

Neighbourhood Connections

This is a community project that aims to help people live happy, healthy and independent lives in East Horsley.
Come and talk to a Neighbourhood Connections volunteer between 2-4pm Wednesday and Friday at Horsley Medical Practice, Kingston Avenue KT24 5QT.
To book an appointment please speak to a receptionist or call: 01483 284151
Neighbourhood Connections’ trained volunteers can provide a listening ear, information and advice about local support and activities, such as local transport, groups, household help, statutory services and more.
This is not a medical service; it’s a way to address social and practical needs and to help make connections between you and support services that may be relevant to you.

Horsleys Community Fund

Henry Smith Charity

For many years the Parish Council and St Martin's Church have been working with volunteers in the village to represent The Henry Smith Charity. You might not be aware of their work but they are an organisation with a 500-year history of helping people in the Community.

They have a simple aim “To bring about lasting change to people’s lives by funding organisations working with people to reduce social and economic disadvantage”. Laudable words but what does it mean in reality?  It means that the Trustees working in East Horsley have an amount of money granted every year and we are looking for the help of the village to suggest people who might benefit from a small grant (usually around £50) to help them through a difficult time of their lives – it won’t change their lives but it might help whilst other factors are taking time to arrange.

So if you can think of anyone in East Horsley who might benefit from a grant then please contact Nick Clemens (Parish Clerk) on 01483 281148 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
