East Horsley Parish Council has donated £500 to the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey & Sussex in recognition of their vital lifesaving work in our community.
Earlier this year, the charity responded to a medical emergency in East Horsley, landing on Kingston Meadows to provide urgent care. Thanks to the swift actions of the air ambulance team, along with a couple of well-trained and quick-thinking local residents, a life was saved.
The Parish Council is proud to support the charity, which plays a crucial role in providing specialist medical care in critical situations across Surrey and Sussex. The donation will help fund essential equipment, training, and rapid-response services that continue to make a real difference in emergencies.
Residents are encouraged to learn more about the charity and upcoming events, including the Heli Hike Surrey on Sunday 31 August, which raises funds for this life-saving service.
